An App to help Osteoarchaeologists recording skeleton and dental inventories. Tap on the bones of a skeleton to show presence or absence, draw and annotate the skeleton and output the completed inventory in HTML format to complete your report on a desktop PC or export a set of inventories in CSV/Excel format for further research.
Supports Adult and Juvenile Articulated skeleton inventories, including Permanent and Deciduous dentition. This version also includes;
annotate your skeleton record by drawing or typing notes
facilities to manage larger numbers of skeletons in collections
record joints and joint pathology
record cranial measurements and export data in CRANID format for ancestry calculations
exchange skeleton data with other researchers using the backup format
full sex and age at death assessments
stature calculations based on ancestry
recording full dental inventory and attrition scores
annotate dentition to show caries, plaque etc
For juvenile skeletons, specific assessments include;
assessment of puberty stage at death
age at death based on dentition and other assessments
We have also produced a set of public domain data from the Wellcome Osteological Database that can be imported into Skelly-Pad for viewing (adult skeletons only).
